ILLINOIS STATE ARCHIVES
Archival Professional Development Scholarships (2016/2017)
The Illinois State Historical Records Advisory Board (ISHRAB) is offering scholarships to Illinois archivists and archival volunteers to attend a professional archival workshop, seminar, or conference held in Illinois (or an online professional archival development course) to enhance skills for appraising, capturing, preserving and providing access to electronic records. These funds are provided by a State Board Programming Grant from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission.
Awards will be made in an amount up to $200 per applicant per year to reimburse costs for registration, housing, and/or travel to the event. A brochure, URL, or other publicity material of the event must be submitted with the application.
This is a reimbursable award. You must first apply for the scholarship and receive official notification that you are a scholarship recipient. You will be notified within a week of receipt of your application by the ISHRAB, if you are awarded a scholarship.
After the event, you must submit an expense form, accompanied by original receipts, to the ISHRAB for reimbursement. You will receive the expense form along with your official notification of the award.
ISHRAB and its representatives will award scholarships on a first-come, first-served basis until the funding is exhausted. The completed application form may be submitted by U.S. mail, FAX, or email. All decisions made by the ISHRAB and its representatives will be final.
