FAX (ELECTRONIC) FILINGS / IL-ELF PROGRAM

Pursuant to the provisions of the Business Corporation Act, General Not For Profit Corporation Act and Limited Liability Company Act, certain documents may be transmitted to this office via fax for filing on a 24 hour (expedited) basis. The expedited fees provided to be paid for 24 hour service by each of the aforementioned Acts will be imposed by the Department of Business Services on all fax filings in addition to all required filing fees, franchise taxes, penalties and interest.

In order to participate in the IL-ELF Program, it will first be necessary to apply to this Department to obtain a fax filing account number.

After completing the application form it will be necessary to fax it to the Department of Business Services at the phone number printed at the bottom of the application form. You will then be notified of your fax filing account number via e-mail.

When faxing documents to this Department for filing, it will be necessary to use the one page cover sheet provided by this office.
