I-Share (Illinois State Library Catalog)

Use I-Share, the Illinois State Library's Online Catalog to find books and other library materials at the State Library or at any of the other 71 libraries in the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois (CARLI) that contribute records to I-Share. The I-Share database now contains more than nine million unique bibliographic records and more than thirty million item records.

SILC (Statewide Illinois Library Catalog)

The Illinois Group Catalog is an OCLC Union Catalog which contains all Illinois libraries’ holdings that reside in WorldCat. The Catalog supports both resource discovery and access, through mediated and unmediated interlibrary loan capabilities. The Illinois Group Catalog utilizes the familiar FirstSearch platform, employing a customized subset of WorldCat. Bibliographic holdings displays can be scoped geographically to each Library System LLSAP database, as well as Illinet Online, and type of library. Links to complete WorldCat holdings are also provided. Some special features of the Illinois Group Catalog include a link from a WorldCat record to a local system record, via a standard record number; links to additional versions of a books, including large print and foreign language editions; book cover images; links to book reviews, summaries, and publication information in Books in Print. The Illinois Group Catalog is available at the Find-It! Illinois website.

KLAS Online Catalog

Talking Book and Braille Service (TBBS) is the site from which you can search the holdings of the Illinois State Library TBBS online catalog. This collection of more than 65,000 titles is available to Illinois residents who are participants in the Library of Congress, National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped program. Titles in audio and braille format are available. Program participants are eligible to order books online from this site.

The catalog holds tens of millions of bibliographic records that represent more than one billion items.
