Watch this site for upcoming dates and topics!

Tapes of past conferences can be obtained via interlibrary loan from the Illinois State Library or regional library systems. The Illinois State Library Teleconference Series featured a variety of programs of interest to librarians and library trustees. Topics covered by the series included Library Trustees, Format Integration, Government Documents and First Search. Each teleconference could be viewed on the date of broadcast at one of more than two dozen downlink sites located throughout Illinois. Since the first teleconference broadcast in November 1992, more than 10,000 people have attended these popular educational programs. The average teleconference attracted nearly 400 people. Some attracted 500 and the highest attendance was nearly 1,000 viewers. All teleconferences were free of charge. Each teleconference is presented using clear and concise terminology, demonstrations and a little humor. In short, the Illinois State Library’s Teleconference Series in an enjoyable way to learn.
