Custom Training

Custom Training is offered free of charge to library staff unable to attend regularly scheduled workshops or have specific needs that are not met by a regular workshop and are willing to travel to the Illinois State Library.

Scheduled Workshops

Scheduled workshops are offered by ILLINET/OCLC Services staff and volunteer trainers, in conjunction with the Illinois OCLC Users Group (IOUG). Workshops are hands-on whenever possible. To register for a class, login to our CLeO website at: http://www.islcleo.org. Fees: For staff members from an IOUG member library, there is no fee to attend any workshop offered by IOUG with the exception of special workshops such as the IOUG Annual Meeting. The workshop fee for non-IOUG members is $55 per person. For host sites the registration fee is waived for up to two staff members from the hosting institution.

Distance Education

ILLINET/OCLC Services staff offer various workshops via Live Meeting, an online tool that allows attendees to stay at their own location. Attendees must have an internet connection, browser, and phone (speaker phone is preferable). These "virtual" workshops are offered free of charge.
