POW/MIA Illinois Remembers License Plates honor Illinois residents who were prisoners of war or missing in action while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Fees

Random-Number POW/MIA Illinois Remembers License Plates
  • Newly acquired vehicle/first-time issuance - $211 ($95 title fee + $101 registration fee + $15 POW/MIA Illinois Remembers license plates fee)
  • Currently titled vehicle/first-time issuance - $116 ($101 registration fee + $15 POW/MIA Illinois Remembers license plates fee)
  • Current plates expire within 90 days - $145 ($101 registration fee + $15 POW/MIA Illinois Remembers license plates fee + $29 replacement fee)
  • Current plates do not expire within 90 days - $44 ($15 POW/MIA Illinois Remembers license plates fee + $29 replacement fee)
  • Annual renewal - $103 ($101 registration fee + $2 POW/MIA Illinois Remembers license plates fee)

Availability

  • POW/MIA Illinois Remembers license plates are multi-year and may be displayed on passenger vehicles, trucks and vans weighing 8,000 pounds or less and sport utility vehicles.
  • Not available as Vanity or Personalized
  • Not eligible for Circuit Breaker
