  ($95 title fee + $99 registration fee + $15 Vietnam Veteran license plates fee)

  ($99 registration fee + $15 Vietnam Veteran license plates fee)
• Current plates expire within 90 days - $143
  ($99 registration fee + $15 Vietnam Veteran license plates fee + $29 replacement fee)
• Current plates do not expire within 90 days - $44
  ($15 Vietnam Veteran license plates fee + $29 replacement fee)
• Annual renewal - $99
  ($99 registration fee)

To Apply

• One must provide a legible copy of a DD214 (discharge from military duty) or a letter from the Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs or the federal government verifying Vietnam Service medal status.

Availability

• Vietnam Veteran License Plates are multi-year and may be displayed on passenger vehicles, trucks and vans weighing 8,000 pounds or less and sport utility vehicles.
• Eligible for Circuit Breaker

Renewal Methods

• The plates can be renewed online, by mail, touch-tone phone, or visit a Driver Services facility.
