Offices to Close for General Election and Veterans' Days

SPRINGFIELD - All Secretary of State offices and facilities will be closed for General Election Day and Veterans' Day, Secretary of State Jesse White announced today. The only exception is the Ford City facility, which is open seven days a week in the Ford City Mall. Both holidays are observed by all state agencies.

     All offices and facilities will be closed Tuesday, Nov. 7, for General Election Day and will resume business Wednesday, Nov. 8.

     All offices that normally are open Monday through Friday will be closed Friday, Nov. 10, for Veterans' Day and will reopen Monday, Nov. 13.

     Driver Services facilities outside Cook County and the Chicago West, Midlothian and Niles facilities in Cook County, which normally are open Tuesday through Saturday, will be closed Saturday, Nov. 11, for Veterans' Day and will resume business Tuesday, Nov. 14.
