Secretary of State's Office to Participate at Farm Progress Show

SPRINGFIELD –– Secretary of State Jesse White today announced that his office will provide many services Sept. 26-28 at the Farm Progress Show, 900 Stateroute 124, in Athens.

     A mobile Driver Services facility will be available from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day where visitors can renew their digital driver’s licenses, obtain state photo ID cards and register to vote.

     Drivers who want to renew their licenses must have their renewal form and current license. Those without a renewal form must have their current license and two forms of identification, such as a social security card, personal check, credit card or voter registration.

     First-time applicants for a state ID card can either 1) use their Illinois driver’s license, or 2) must establish their date of birth with a certified copy of their birth certificate, establish identification with a social security card, and provide three other forms of identification.

     In addition, motorists can purchase license plate renewal stickers and farm vehicle owners can purchase license plates. Farm Progress Show visitors also can:

  • Register with the state’s organ/tissue donor registry;
  • Obtain information about investment fraud from the Secretary of State’s Securities Department; and
  • Obtain information about the Uniform Commercial Code from the Secretary’s Business Services Department.
