SPRINGFIELD –– All Secretary of State offices and facilities will be closed for Christmas and New Year's, Secretary of State Jesse White announced today. Both holidays are observed by all state agencies.
All offices normally open Monday through Friday will be closed Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 24-25, for Christmas, and will reopen Wednesday, Dec. 26. Those offices also will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, for New Year's, and will resume business Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002.
Driver Services facilities outside Cook County and the Chicago West, Midlothian and Niles facilities in Cook County, normally open Tuesday through Saturday, will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 25, for Christmas, and will reopen Wednesday, Dec. 26. Those facilities also will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, for New Year's, and will resume business Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002.
