CHICAGO –– Secretary of State Jesse White announced today that the state's Department of Business Services is now offering two new services that will speed up the process for businesses to incorporate or organize their companies with the state.
"In business time is a valuable quantity. These new services will give businesses another tool to help them register with the state in an expedited fashion," White said. "I think everyone from the big corporations to the mom and pop business will find these new services extremely helpful."
The new services are the filing of Articles of Incorporation for corporations and Articles of Organization for limited liability companies in the Chicago Office of Business Services; and, Filing of the Articles of Incorporation and Organization by fax in the Springfield Office.
The first new service will be offered in the Chicago Office of Business Services, located at 69 W Washington, Suite 1240. This office will accept for filing, on an expedited basis, both Articles of Incorporation for corporations and Articles of Organization for limited liability companies. These filings will be processed within 24 hours of receipt with additional types of filings to be added in the future.
The second new service to be offered is the filing of the Articles of Organization and Articles of Incorporation on a faxed basis. These documents will be faxed to the Springfield office directly into its computer imaging system, processed through the computer, and, then, faxed back to the customer once the document has been filed.
This service is also offered on an expedited basis. Since payment must be rendered by credit card, the customer must establish an account with the Department prior to using the service for the first time. Requests for the form to establish an account to use the fax service may be emailed to RDurchholz@ilsos.net. This service will also be expanded to include additional forms in the future.
All statutory forms processed by the Business Services Department are located on the Secretary of State's website at www.cyberdriveillinois.com.
