Secretary of State White Announces
New Larger Niles Facility to Open

Springfield — Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White announced today the opening of the new larger driver's facility in Niles. The new facility, which is located at 8261 Golf Road at the Four Flags Shopping Center, opens on Thursday, January 30.

The old facility, located at 9038 Golf Road, will be closed on January 28th and 29th due to the move. Motorists are urged to visit the Deerfield, Schaumburg or Chicago North facilities during those days.

"This larger more accessible location is just another way that we will be able to more efficiently serve our customers," Secretary White said.

The new facility will offer the same services as the old facility including:

  • driver's licenses and instruction permits
  • vision, written and road tests
  • duplicate licenses
  • renewals
  • identification cards
  • organ/tissue donor registration
  • voter registration applications
  • vehicle stickers for cars and pick up trucks
  • child passenger safety seat fitting

The new facility will be open Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon.

The old facility has been operating in that location since 1982.
