SPRINGFIELD — Secretary of State Jesse White announced that the Peoria Driver Services Facility is moving to a new location Monday. White said service would not be interrupted by the move, as the office is normally closed on Mondays and the move will only take one day.
The last day of business at the current location is Saturday, July 26. On Tuesday, July 29, the new location will be open for business at 8:00 a.m.
According to White, the new location will include a separate counter for vehicle registration and title work. In addition the new location has more parking available and space for on-site testing of Commercial Drivers License applicants.
The driver services facility is currently located at 2010 N. Knoxville Ave in Peoria. The new location is in the Sterling Bazaar Shopping Plaza at 3311 N. Sterling Ave. #12 in Peoria. The phone number, (309) 686-6040, will remain the same.
