SPRINGFIELD — All Secretary of State offices and facilities will be closed Friday, July 4, for Independence Day, Secretary of State Jesse White announced today. They will reopen Monday, July 7. The holiday is observed by all state agencies.
There will be a Secretary of State driver's license and identification card booth at the Taste of Chicago offering express services.
This location will provide:
- address corrections to drivers' licenses
- vision renewals (for renewal applicants only requiring a vision test)
- replacements for lost or stolen drivers' licenses
- state identification cards for both first time and renewal applicants, provided that the applicant has all of the documents necessary to obtain an identification card
