Secretary Of State Driver Services Facility Moves To New Belleville Location

SPRINGFIELD — Secretary of State Jesse White has announced that the temporary Driver Services Facility located at 6500 W. Main in Belleville will be moving to its permanent location at 400 W. Main in Belleville. The new facility will open at 8 a.m. on Dec. 21, 2004.

The Secretary of State Police will also move their district office to the new location.

"The new downtown location will feature expanded parking, improved vehicle access, better driving routes and automated, touch-screen testing stations for driver's license applicants." said White.

The new location, just four blocks west of the center of town, completes the facility's transition from its original site at 1444 Boul Avenue in Swansea.

Facility hours will be:
Monday: Closed
Tuesday-Saturday: 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.

The Secretary of State also has Driver Services facilities in Edwardsville, Granite City, East St. Louis, Bethalto and Waterloo.
