ILLINOIS SECRETARY OF STATE JESSE WHITE
ANNOUNCES FORD CITY FACILITY CLOSING

The Illinois Secretary of State's Ford City Driver and Vehicle Services facility will be closing its doors to the public on January 8, 2005.

Members of the public who use the Ford City facility will find access to the same services at other nearby Driver and Vehicle Services facilities including:

  • Bridgeview, 7200 West 84th, Bridgeview, IL 60455
  • Chicago South, 9901 S. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive
    Chicago, IL 60628
  • Midlothian, Midlothian Plaza, 14434 South Pulaski
    Midlothian, IL 60445

In addition to the facilities listed above, many services currently available at the Ford City facility will also be available at the City Clerk Building at 5301 S. Cicero, Suite 106. These services include:

  • Registration sticker renewals
  • Temporary handicapped placards
  • Plate transfers with the same name on both titles
  • Corrected vehicle registration cards
  • Corrected titles
  • Duplicate titles
  • Duplicate vehicle registration cards
  • Replacement vehicle stickers
  • Seven day drive-away permits
  • Mandatory insurance reinstatements

The Ford City facility, located in the Ford City Mall at 7601 S. Cicero Avenue, will be open for business on Saturday, January 8th from 8 a.m. to noon. For additional information, please call the Illinois Secretary of State's public service line at (312) 793-1010.
