Jesse White Announces Additional Services at Springfield Klein Street Facility
Facility Open Saturdays to Better Serve Public

Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White announced that the Springfield Klein Street Drivers Facility is providing additional services to better serve the public, especially on Saturdays. Customers may now renew their vehicle registration as well as title and register their vehicle at the facility, services that previously were only offered Monday through Friday at the Howlett Building.

“My office is always looking at ways to increase convenience and better serve our customers,” said Secretary White. “Providing these services on Saturdays better accommodates the busy schedules of the motoring public.”

In addition to these new services, the Klein Street facility will continue to issue ID cards and driver licenses as well as conduct vision screening and written and road exams.

The Klein Street facility, which is located at 316 North Klein Street, is open Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Wednesday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. – noon. The facility is closed Sunday and Monday.

The Howlett Building, located on the southeast corner of 2nd and Edwards Street, is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will continue to provide all Vehicle Service transactions from its first floor Customer Service Center.
