Statement of Economic Interest Index
May 1, 2020 is the deadline to file.
In accordance with the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act, 5 ILCS 420, many employees, public officials and appointees to boards or commissions are required to submit an economic interests filing to the Secretary of State's office. Government agencies certify a list of individuals who must file a Statement of Economic Interests each year. Your agency has identified you as an employee, public official or appointee who is required to complete the Statement of Economic Interests.
The access number and password sent to you in the mail will allow you to log in to the electronic filing system to begin the filing process of your Statement of Economic Interest. You will not be able to use the 'Forgot My Password' link until you have logged in and verified your email address. If you did not receive a letter in the mail, please verify your address on file with your Ethics Officer. If you misplaced the letter, a second letter will be provided in April with the access number and password. The Illinois Secretary of State's office will not provide the access number and password through the electronic system, by phone or by email. If a letter can not be found, the filer will file using the paper version of the Statement of Economic Interests form. The paper form should be completed and given to their Ethics Officer for verification and submission to the Illinois Secretary of State.
Please vist the Filer help section for more information.
